Snail Mail Boxes

This may have already been discussed, but can we count snail mail
boxes as finds as we don't really go out and look for them. Like
Martha they just drop by for a visit. Maybe we should start a new
count. SM, maybe. Purple Iris.

Since there are no rules, count it whichever way you wish. Some
count travelers (T) in with exchanges (E) and others count them
seperate. I count HH's with my F count where others like to keep them
seperate with the HH notation.
Then again I do have strange counts.

Searched, but could not find. Two of those -F where for the same
box hidden by Squirrel on the C & O canal. Only to find out later the
NPS had found it first. Grrrrrr

That makes sense. :) Do you remove them from that count when you do find them?

Never had that happen. Once not found, stays not found. Too many
boxes to choose from that are more enticing. I have a long list that
are calling to me like sirens. Unfortunately I don't have the time to
be lured away. So my list grows.
